My name is JC AKA the Mutant. God has put me on a journey to better my mind, my body, and my life. I’m here to share my story, and help you get started to mutate your life too.

In 2020 I was at my largest 375lbs. My path hasn’t been easy, but it’s been blessed. I played football at number of teams, winning championship, after championship, high school STM (St. Thomas More), CJFL (Canadian Junior Football), now known as the Langley Rams, and then went to play for SFU (Simon Fraser University), the only winning team in 20 years.  After 12 years of football, with some wrestling, fat camps, squat records, injuries, deaths and kids, it all led me to fighting.

I have been a fighter as long as I can remember, not always by choice, but little did I know it was all leading up to who I am today. When the world shut down in 2020, like everyone else, I decided to enjoy my time, eating, drinking, biking, training and repeat. After about 2 months of that, I woke up, asked myself, why am I drinking? The answer was simple, I’m a champion. From there, little did I know God was turning me into a new man, I haven't picked up a drink since.

I had heard the benefits of cold showers, I did hot/colds playing football, so I turned on the cold shower, and took the plunge. Now for almost 4 years, I’ve been following the same formula, the Mutant Formula, Pray + Cold Shower + Training repeat. Now through connection, consistency and perseverance, I walk around at 234lbs. 

At the start, scale read 370lbs, one goal in mind was to compete as a heavy weight in MMA, 206lbs - 265lbs weight class. Now as an instructor and owner of wellness and lifestyle brand MutantLife.ca, scale reads 234lbs.
